Best tailor in the East Village - reasonable prices and same day turnaround. $25 to hem pants and $30 to bring in the waist. I've used them multiple times and they're usually always able to get them done within a few hours. Would highly recommend

Amazing service. Nothing more to say. I had an urgent project to take care of, and even though he was clearly slammed with projects, he took in my shirt at a great price for the area and alteration. Less than a two day turnaround time as well. Highly recommend.

I needed an urgent, last-minute alteration and they exceeded my expectations. I called every shop I could in the city and they were the only shop that was willing to accommodate me. Amazing!! I came here based off of online reviews and i’m so glad I did. I needed my Levi’s taken in quite a lot (woman’s waist 29” to 26”). You can’t even tell where they sewed / cut fabric! I paid $60 for both, but honestly worth it. There is a small fitting room there too so you can show them what you want. I dropped them off and picked them up 3 hours later!

Rafael is a talented and skilled tailor! My parents have been using his services for over 20 years. I recently was in a wedding and needed my bridesmaid dress altered. I live out of state and couldn’t find a skilled tailor. So I flew to New York just to have him tailor my dress. He did a wonderful job! The alterations were seamless and you couldn’t tell that I had the dress altered. I will always use his services, and so should you!

I bought a pair of Banana Republic pants online, and when I tried them on I looked like a DORK. I looked like a 10 year old wearing his dads pants. They fit in the waist but were about 6 inches too long on the bottom. I brought them into BR but they told me that as of last week, they charge for hemming. This actually pissed me off so much since I bought the pants before that rule went into effect, but whatever. I have been a LOYAL Banana customer too... There was NO chance I was giving BR anymore of my money, purely out of spite. I ended up taking them here, as it was the closest tailor to me. I walked into this hole in the wall tailor shop and immediately felt like I time traveled to the 1980s. Two guys just sitting there going HAM with their old school 2 sewing machines, the lines walled with clothes in plastic bags ready to be picked up and rolls of cloth for repairs. I was in here less than 3 minutes all together. I tried the pants on, he laughed, rolled them up and asked me "dis good?" YURP! I walked back and picked them up a day later, $25 cash. I’ve been going to this tailor for a decade. Excellent work, fast, efficient, and very reasonably priced for anything I’ve ever brought in. Often able to do same-day or next-day for small adjustments, which is awesome in a pinch. 100% recommend.
